This year's hottest new coupe, the BMW 1-series M really is hot property, but is it as hot as Audi's new unveiling; the RS3? Hopefully the following article will help you in making your mind up!

The BMW 1-Series M Coupe offers a three liter, 340 brake horse power , twin turbo six cylinder motor which can top 0-62mph in 4.9 seconds and markets for £39,990.

The RS3 is Audi's new model for 2011 and their final RS before a new model is launched next year. The RS3 offers the same turbocharged 2.5 liter five-pot that is found in other Audi models such as the TT and other RS models. This 2.5 liter engine equates to a more than ample 335 brake horse power and markets for around £39.300, only £ 90 cheaper than the BMW.

So, apart from appearance and brand, what is the difference really?

Well, as well as the initial engine the new BMW offers many gadgets and new features. It specializes in intoxicating lunacy as the twin low-inertia blowers provide response and torque whilst still allowing a 7000rpm red line. It also comes equipped with a no nonsense manual gearbox with a specially specific short-throw leaver, it is lightweight due to the amount of underneath aluminum and weighs only 1,500kg, meaning that its kick will be slick, as slick as 0-62 in 4.9 seconds flat. There are also many other features and gadgets that come standard with the BMW 1-Series M, in fact there are far too many to mention in a short number of words.

The Audi RS3 is a beautiful motor and offers a good price, however, personally the BMW 1-Series M Coupe would win my votes over that the Audi RS3, but with a new model on its way for Audi, my advice would be to watch this space!
