  • BMW have made record profits in 2010

Posted on March 18th, 2011 by admin

The German car manufacturer BMW, which has designed such cars as the BMW M3 Coupe, the BMW m6 Convertible and the BMW 1 Series, is said to have made record profits in 2010. According to sources this increase in profit, which is said to carry on through 2011, has been helped along by steep sales growth in the countries of China, Hong Kong and Taiwan.

Due to China, Hong Kong and Taiwan importing over 183,328 cars it is in accordance that they have helped push up BMW's sales in 2010. This increase in sales meant that BMW's net profit in 2010 soared to 3.23 billion euro’s from 210 million euro's in 2009. This means that BMW’s revenues were up by 19.3% to a record 30.48 billion euro’s.

As well as these increases for BMW, statistics have shown that 2011 is the year of the car. This is perhaps because statistics have shown a strong increase in new car sales from January this year onwards, looking to increase further throughout the remainder of the year.

Statistics from the Central Statistics Office have shown that around 13,470 new cars were licensed in February, this along with January means that from the first two months of this year, new car sales are running 22.2% ahead of the same period last year. This is a positive thing for Britain as it perhaps shows that many are not feeling the pinch of the ‘recession’ as much as it has been previously felt.

So ladies and gentlemen Why not drive up (excuse the pun) your new car collection and in turn increase sales of new (model) cars with the help of us here at Diecast Cars. You could be the proud owner of a Brand New BMW, an Audi Quarto or even a Ferrari, with us here at Diecast Cars the choice really is yours!

  • Aston Martin V8 Vantage!

Posted on January 17th, 2011 by admin

Perhaps not the best loved of cars during its Aston Martins Virage-era in the 1990s, but the Aston Marin V8 Vantage which was produced later in 2005 really was an exception. The vantage name was used by Aston Martin in the 1990s; however, it wasn't until its 2005 model that it was taken seriously as a credible, reliable and beautiful motor. The Aston Martin V8 Vantage is one of the most sleekest and agile motors in Aston Martins dictionary of cars. The motor has no slouch in the visual department as it is as sleek as they come, however, as well as this the car also sounds beautiful, you might find it a difficult task turning your CD player on and instead may just opt to listen to the beautiful purr of the engine. Beware; however, this motor's purr gets better as the revs increase, meaning that you could find yourself flirting with penalty points just to listen to your engine!

  • Petrol prices on the rise!

Posted on January 17th, 2011 by admin

I'm sure this heading comes as no surprise to any of us, after all we have watched VAT prices increase year after year as well as petrol prices increasing to extortionate amounts over the past few years. Due to this increase in petrol prices (yet again) it has been reported that petrol stations will be upping the ante with their security amid fears of forecourt theft! It is estimated that filling up your Audi , Aston Martin and even your low-cost fords will go up by 3.5p per liter, just thank yourself luck you're not filling up a Ferrari , and if you are then I am sorry but you may have quite a considerable hole starting to burn through your pocket!

  • Mustang sally my baby!

Posted on January 14th, 2011 by admin

The classic car that is the Mustang was manufactured by the American car company Ford which was founded back in 1903 by Henry Ford. Introduced in early April 1964 the 1965 Mustang really is a classic car of its time. The Mustang created, what was known to American culture in the 60s 'the pony car', this was a sports-like coupe car with a long hood and a short rear deck. Such cars as Gm's Chevrolet Camaro and Chrysler's Plymouth Barracuda followed Fords suite here and jumped on the bandwagon, or should I say jumped on the pony!
