Bburago

Bburago is an Italian based model car design manufacturer that is based in Burago di Molgora, Italy. The company has made die cast model cars since 1974 and has always prided itself in making models that mix both quality and price. They were also the first die cast model car manufacturers to produce a model car on the scale of 1.18.

In 2007 the company was taken over by another Italian Company; May Cheong. The May Cheong company of whom already manufactured their own die cast model cars previously stated that they used Bburago models to base and replicate their own models on and so were perhaps the perfect company to take lead.

May Cheong has 40 years previous experience in producing and manufacturing diecast model cars and so has taken to Bburago with ease, they have continued to keep the Bburago heritage alive by instilling freshness into their designs and marketing, yet at the same time keeping the look and feel of a classic Bburago model the same.

Bburago cars, especially the earlier models, are highly collectable. The models that were produced before the company was overtaken in 2007 are amongst the most highly prized models.
